Heart-Shaped Stress Ball RFQ Case: Reframing a 75 mm Round Request

Evidence status: real buyer quotation case, not a completed order. Current stage: quote sent and waiting for the buyer. Buyer identity and confidential correspondence are not published.

This case shows how Jinyu Novelty handled a request that could not be fulfilled exactly from the available low-quantity product route. The buyer requested a 75 mm round stress ball in Pantone 375 C at quantities from 50 to 250 pieces. The practical available alternative was a 70 mm heart-shaped PU stress ball in a stock green close to the requested color.

Original Buyer Brief

Requested product 75 mm round PU stress ball
Requested color Pantone 375 C
Quantity range 50, 100 and 250 pieces
Branding direction Black printing requested for the branded item

Feasibility Finding

The exact 75 mm round product and exact Pantone-color route were not confirmed for the small quantity. A 70 mm heart-shaped product was available in a stock green close to the requested direction, with double-sided black printing subject to artwork and print-area confirmation.

The heart shape was therefore presented as an alternative, not described as if it were the buyer’s original round product. The quotation separated the product alternative, setup work and international shipping so the buyer could see what was confirmed and what still required approval.

How the Alternative Was Presented

  • Shape: clearly identified as a heart-shaped alternative.
  • Size: stated as 70 mm rather than rounding it up to the requested 75 mm.
  • Color: described as stock green or the closest available direction, not guaranteed as an exact Pantone match.
  • Printing: double-sided black printing subject to artwork and usable print area.
  • Packaging: bulk packing unless a different package is separately confirmed.
  • Shipping: quoted separately by destination and packed-carton data.

Why This Matters

A supplier can create unnecessary risk by silently replacing a buyer’s requested shape, size or color. A better response shows the difference, explains why the alternative is practical and asks the buyer to approve the changed specification before treating it as the order basis.

This case also shows why a public “MOQ from 50 pieces” statement is not enough. The selected product may support the quantity, while exact custom color, shape or packaging does not. Each part of the request needs its own feasibility check.

Current Status

The alternative and quotation structure were sent to the buyer. The project remains at Quote Sent / Waiting Buyer. This page does not describe the project as an order or delivery because no later buyer approval or completed transaction has been recorded.
